A customer in Northumberland reached out to us when she was extremely concerned with a burning smell that was lingering round their house, specifically from behind a specific electrical socket.
When the customer told us about the problem we headed out to their house as quickly as we possibly could. We swiftly identified that the problem was multiple loose connections behind the electric socket which was causing the strong burning smell. The customers kitchen fitter had installed the socket incorrectly and if it wasn’t for us then there truly could of been a major disaster.
Non-fire rated halogens give off a considerable amount of heat meaning that they very quickly and easily become a fire hazard. Cables can melt and fires can start, causing danger to numerous people in and around the household.
